I recently asked ChatGPT about AI becoming an existential threat. It started as a bit of fun but when I pressed it, it became a little unnerving! ChatGPT laid out the steps that a malevolent AI could take in order to manipulate us, take control, and eventually destroy us. It told me why, and it even gave me a timeline!

I know it’s just a language model, but what it told me was completely plausible!
